Complicated Grief

We can start to feel conflicted within our grief experiences due to the expectations and pressures of what our grief should look like regardless of the relationship with our loved ones.  In these videos, I explore some of the factors that contribute to experiencing complicated grief.  

 

Complicated Grief

The label “complicated grief” is interesting because grief in itself can be complicated and there is no right or wrong way to experience. The distinction arises when an individual’s grief interferes with their daily life activities.

 

Grief and difficult relationships

Relationships aren’t perfect and all relationships come with their own set of difficulties. It is possible to grieve the loss of the person but also everything else that represented the relationship, the turmoil, and mixed feelings.
