Fear after Loss

Loss reminds us of life’s fragility and creates a lot of fear and anxiety about losing another loved one. In my videos, I explore different topics related to the fear and worries that people experience after the loss of a loved one.

Feeling like we are leaving our loved ones behind

Imagining a life without our loved ones can be hard. Once they physically leave us, thought of tomorrow without them can feel unbearable to think of. The truth is that while people tell us to “move on” or to get on with your life, that life doesn’t have to exclude your loved one. Their essence, their being, the memories built are and will always be there.

Fear of someone else dying

When death knocks on our door, life all of a sudden becomes very real. We experience it’s true fragility. Experiencing loss helps us to connect what we know to the actual reality of it. Understanding life’s true fragility can also bring up a lot of fear. Fear around continuing to lose those we love. Fear of things changing. Fear of not being in control.
